
UCIMA (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers' Association) is the national trade association that represents and supports the Italian packing and packaging machinery manufacturers. It has about 200 member companies from all over the country, including the industry leaders.
UCIMA member companies cover the entire range of packaging machinery production, from the food, confectionery and tobacco industries through to pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, cosmetics and end-of-line technologies.
Italy is one of the world leaders in packaging machinery, with a world market share of 20%.
In 2024, the sector’s turnover totalled record figures of 9,5 billion euro (+3,5% compared to 2023). Exports account for around 80% of total turnover, with a value of almost 7,5 billion euro.
The most important performers countries of exports are Africa and Oceania, Asia and European Union. Next come non-EU Europe, North America and Central and South America.
