With Propak East Africa just around the corner, we sat down with a key member of the team responsible for delivering the expo, Angela Kinyua, Portfolio Director for Montgomery East Africa 2023.
Angela delves into what visitors can expect, and why next year’s edition is going to be ‘unmissable’.
Tell us a bit about Propak and its history?
Propak as a brand has been going for years, and with sister shows across the continent, in South Africa and West Africa, it’s the leading exhibition for the packaging, printing, plastics and processing market.
Propak East Africa itself is in its fifth edition and with each edition there has been tremendous growth. We have managed to build a community spanning East Africa with over 4,500 visitors and more than 200 brands exhibiting. Our mission is to bolster business in the region by connecting manufacturers, suppliers and end users across the world.
Why East Africa?
Propak East Africa genuinely goes from strength to strength each year. With the current climate growing like it is in the region, there’s so much potential for companies both nationally and internationally entering the market.
More than ever, we are determined to ensure that our leading expo maintains its position as the no.1 platform for business in East Africa within the packaging, printing, processing and plastics market.
We have invested in a networking tool to make it even easier for attendees and exhibitors to connect and maximise their time at this year’s expo. All registered exhibitors and visitors will have access to this platform as of next week, where members can manage their personal timetables with exhibitor/fellow visitor meetings and conference sessions. We’re confident this will make all attendees’ experience at Propak East Africa invaluable and help bolster business networking.
Why should visitors attend Propak East Africa this year?
The exhibition offers such a unique opportunity for industry members to come together and experience the latest news, technology, insights and trends taking place within the packaging, plastics, printing and processing market.
There’s no other platform in the region like it, where professionals can compare solutions and products from literally hundreds of brands, side-by-side and all under one roof.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your equipment, enter the market or understand more about the industry; Propak East Africa offers it all. And best of all, it’s free…
What can visitors expect this March?
There’s so much on this year! We’ve got our co-located event; Print East Africa which will bring together professionals from across the print industry with a cross-over interest in packaging solutions.
Additionally, we’ve lined up some incredible speakers for this year’s Conference, the likes of which will be revealed in the coming seats. To find out the line-up first, just register online in advance.
What else is new about Propak?
We’re dedicated to providing an experience like no other at Propak East Africa, we want to ensure that every single participant whether exhibiting, speaking or visiting, finds their time at the event valuable to their business.
Who’s exhibiting?
Among the brands exhibiting this year will be KENSTA Group, Krones, KEP Services, ISHIDA, Decase Chemicals, Filmatic, SBA Kenya and Piovan.
